BEST PRACTICES FOR TRADE SHOW ETIQUETTE

  • DO greet every buyer who comes into your booth. If you're busy with another client, let them know you will assist them shortly.
  • DO have a 30-second pitch ready to describe your business and capabilites to booth visitors and how you may be able to help.
  • DO let your buyers browse your booth by themselves - some buyers would rather make selections and take notes solo.
  • DO make sure to take breaks during down times, but be ready to greet visitors standing and with a smile.

THINGS TO AVOID

  • DO NOT stay on your phone while buyers are in your booth. Being distracted could lose a sale.
  • DO NOT eat meals in your booth. Take breaks in turns with your partners if possible
  • DO NOT invest in promotional items that have nothing to do with your company or product. Give them something they will remember you by.
  • DO NOT solicit outside of your booth. Buyers do not want to be sold to when they're just trying to navigate the show.
