THE SOURCE FOR CONNECTION AND COMMERCE

The August 2025 edition of SOURCING gathered the global fashion community of manufacturers and suppliers across apparel, fashion technology, fabric, trim and print to collaborate, innovate, and do business. Here, we recap some of the key moments from this season's event.

Fashion professionals from around the world convened at the August 2025 edition of SOURCING at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This season's event featured expanded international participation from Turkey and Pakistan, and a debut delegation from Colombia. Manufacturers and suppliers from a range of disciplines—including apparel, fashion technology, fabric, trim, and print—all assembled to collaborate, innovate, and generally take care of business.

"SOURCING stands as the definitive destination where the world converges to create the next wave of fashion and apparel innovation," states Edwina Kulego, VP of SOURCING, International and Men's. "With representation from over 40 countries across six continents, we are proud to deliver such a robust and diverse offering all under one roof. Our unique position allows brands of every size from startups to global leaders to access world-class manufacturing solutions in a single location, eliminating the need to travel internationally to build their supply chains. This concentration of global talent and resources simply cannot be found anywhere else in the industry."

Fashion professionals from around the world

SOURCING offered a world of resources.

Athleisure, swim, luxury, denim, and more; sourcing pros from any market found it in Las Vegas.

This year’s attendees demonstrated increased interest in swim and athletics manufacturing—a reflection of broader consumer trends—as well as the athleisure market’s ongoing growth. The luxury manufacturing sector also continued to attract growing interest, and SOURCING connected high-end brands with artisans and producers capable of delivering exceptional quality and craftsmanship. The event also saw the expansion of home, gift and textile offerings to meet increasing demand as brands look to diversify product ranges through crossover opportunities.

The evergreen Sourcing 101 and Sourcing 102 sessions—designed to cover the basics every aspiring entrepreneur needs to know—were once again conducted for a packed audience. Another practical session for emerging sourcing professionals was led by SOURCING’s own Buyers Relations Specialist, Ashley McPherson. Smart Sourcing: How to Find, Vet, and Grow with the Right Factory offered a straightforward, modern approach to factory research, vetting, negotiation, and long-term partnership building. The session provided practical tips, including how to identify hidden risks that can disrupt margins, timelines, or a brand’s reputation.

Supply Chain Realities

Lloyd Parks, CEO of apparel supply chain company Dominissi, was just one of many industry leaders tapped for SOURCING’s educational program.

Supply Chain Realities

Several sessions this season focused on supply chain issues. In one, titled From Risk to Resilience: The Hidden Workforce That Could Make or Break Your Supply Chain, Jessica Kelly, VP of Supply Chain Partnerships at Nest, offered advice on adopting a human-centered approach to reduce risk and boost resilience while staying compliant with global regulations. Similarly, another session provided guidance on planning for a volatile future and scaling a growing business’s needs.

The curriculum was further improved by sessions that covered even more hot topics of the season, from tariffs and A.I. to sustainability. The Tariff Toolkit, led by Steve Trayner, President of Sales for supply chain partner CFL, offered guidance on navigating duties, delays, and international production for emerging brands and first-time importers. Individual exhibitors—especially in the tech space—also provided informative “how-to” sessions for their front-line sourcing products.

If you missed these in-person events, you can access the FW26/27 Material Sourcing Trends Session and much more on the Resources section of SOURCING by Informa’s website anytime.

Several of this season’s educational sessions incorporated sustainability measures into their presentations, and inquiries about specific requirements could be answered by Dr. Lin herself at a resource desk at the show’s entrance. The sustainability gallery also made a return, showcasing some of the many responsible manufacturers that exhibited at the event.
